Refund Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds are issued for the Mr Syn platform. By using the Service and participating in financial transactions, you agree to the terms of this policy.
1. Challenge Stakes
1.1 Before Challenge Starts
If you have staked money on a challenge that has not yet begun, you may withdraw from the challenge and receive a full refund of your stake. To withdraw, use the "Leave Challenge" option in the app before the challenge start time. Refunds for pre-start withdrawals are processed immediately and returned to your Mr Syn wallet balance.
1.2 After Challenge Starts
Once a challenge has started, stakes are non-refundable. This applies regardless of whether you complete the challenge, withdraw mid-challenge, or are unable to participate due to personal circumstances. The non-refundable nature of active stakes is fundamental to the competitive integrity of the platform.
1.3 Cancelled Challenges
If a challenge is cancelled before it begins -- whether by the creator, due to insufficient participants, or by our team -- all stakes are refunded in full to participants' wallet balances within 24 hours.
1.4 Disputed Results
If you believe a challenge result is incorrect or unfair, you must submit a dispute within 48 hours of challenge completion. Disputes can be submitted through the app (Challenge Details > Dispute Result) or by emailing support@mrsyn.app with your challenge ID and a description of the issue.
Our dispute resolution team will review GPS data, verification photos, and activity logs. You will receive a decision within 7 business days. If the dispute is resolved in your favor, the prize pool will be redistributed accordingly. Our decision on disputes is final.
2. Subscriptions
2.1 Monthly Subscriptions
Monthly subscriptions (Pro at $49/month, Elite at $99/month) can be cancelled at any time. When you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are issued for unused time within a monthly billing period.
2.2 Annual Subscriptions
Annual subscriptions (Pro at $399/year, Elite at $799/year) may be refunded on a prorated basis if cancelled within 14 days of purchase or renewal. The prorated refund is calculated based on the number of unused full months remaining, minus the difference between the annual rate and the equivalent monthly rate for months already used.
After the 14-day window, annual subscriptions can be cancelled but are not eligible for refunds. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the annual billing period.
2.3 How to Cancel
Cancel your subscription through: App Settings > Subscription > Cancel Subscription. You can also cancel by emailing support@mrsyn.app. Cancellations are processed within 24 hours.
3. Platform Errors and Technical Failures
If a technical failure on our part directly causes you to lose a challenge unfairly or prevents your activity from being recorded correctly, you are eligible for a full refund of your stake. Examples of qualifying technical failures include:
- Server outages that prevent activity data from being recorded or submitted during an active challenge.
- GPS tracking errors caused by a bug in our app (not caused by your device or environment).
- Verification system errors that incorrectly reject valid checkpoint photos.
- Payment processing errors that result in incorrect charges or missing payouts.
To request a refund for a technical failure, contact support@mrsyn.app with your challenge ID, a description of the issue, and any relevant screenshots. Technical failure refund requests are reviewed and resolved within 5 business days.
4. Wallet Balance Withdrawals
Funds in your Mr Syn wallet balance (from winnings or deposits) can be withdrawn at any time to your linked bank account or payment method. Minimum withdrawal: $10.00 USD. Withdrawals are processed within 3-5 business days. There is no fee for standard withdrawals.
5. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund for any reason covered by this policy:
- Email: Send your request to support@mrsyn.app with the subject line "Refund Request".
- Include: Your account email, the specific transaction or challenge ID, the reason for your request, and any supporting documentation.
- In-app: For challenge disputes, use the Dispute Result feature in the challenge details screen.
All refund requests are acknowledged within 24 hours. Approved refunds are processed within 5-10 business days, depending on your payment method and financial institution.
6. Non-Refundable Items
The following are not eligible for refunds under any circumstances:
- Stakes on challenges that have already started or been completed.
- Platform fees (15%) deducted from prize pool distributions.
- Funds forfeited due to violation of our Terms of Service or prohibited conduct.
- Losses in challenges resulting from your own performance.
